Featuring all the benefits of the original TriField Natural EM Meter, this 2nd version also has the addition of a high sensitivity magnetic coil including a socket for an external power supply and an input jack.
You can use the SUM setting in this model for an early warning of any unusual atmospheric electromagnetic activity, such as geomagnetic storms or ball lightning. This is particularly beneficial as it will not produce a false trigger if people walk past.
The TriField Natural EM Meters can detect changes in extremely weak static (DC or natural) electric and magnetic fields. As man-made AC electric and magnetic fields are common and could potentially interfere with readings of static fields, this meter has been designed to ignore the AC fields of power lines and appliances.
When you are using this meter, you will notice if there is either an electric or magnetic field change via a tone and movement on the needle gauge.
The meter displays readings in 2 scales; MAGNETIC/ELECTRIC and RADIO/MICROWAVE. The top scale can measure magnetic field in 0-100 microteslas or electric field (multiply by 10 to get volts/meter). The Trifield Natural EM Meter is sensitive to changes of as little as 0.5% of the strength of the Earth’s magnetic field. When the dial is set to ELECTRIC, the meter is sensitive to fields as weak as 3 Vim (volts per meter).
The bottom scale measures RADIO/MICROWAVE from .01 to 1 mW/cm². This scale directly reads radio waves from 100 KHz to 3 GHz and can detect fairly weak localized radio sources. It can also detect for microwave leakage, mobile phones, walkie-talkies and surveillance bugs.
Supplied with 1 x PP3 9 volt battery, high sensitivity magnetic coil, instructions.
This meter is covered by a one-year warranty
