Designed primarily as a moisture meter for wood, you can also use it to measure plaster and concrete. This instrument can be used to indicate the relative dampness and is scaled as follows;
Wood 1: 14% to 30%
Wood 2: 15% to 30%
Plaster: 8% to 20%
Concrete: 5% to 14%
The display incorporates 2 scales each for a different level of calibration. Scale 1 is for 15 to 30 % moisture content, scale 2 is for 6 to 16 % moisture content and scale 3 is a reference scale used for comparative readings.
To use, connect the supplied probe, turn ON and use the switch on the side to select the most appropriate scale. Apply the probe firmly to the grain of wood or material to obtain a measurement.
The Timber Moisture Meter comes complete with hard carry case, hand held probe and 50 spare pins (more available if required).
Uses 1 x 9 volt battery (included).

Please note: Wood moisture equivalent (WME) is the moisture level in any building materials expressed as a % moisture content. False readings can be obtained when measuring a surface which has salt contamination or has a covering e.g wallpaper.
