A rotational speed measuring instrument, The Testo 460 can be used to measure the speed of impellers, drums and spindles in areas such as ventilators or shafts.

Extremely compact, the Testo 460 is very easy to operate. To ensure reliable measurements, it is necessary to use reflective markers. The ideal distance to the object you wish to measure is between 10 and 40 cm. During the measurement, always aim at the reflective marker from an angle of approx 30° to avoid multiple reflections from the surface.

As soon as useful measuring signals are available, the display will flash with either rpm or rps and the light spot marks the centre of the measuring surface.

The Testo 460 features a number of adjustable settings, so you are able to hold a reading, view the max and min values and set the number of blades. The backlit display allows the measurement values to be easily read out, even in unfavourable light conditions.
