Monitoring humidity and moisture levels is considered important if you want to improve your health. The Moisture Alert is ideal if you want to monitor these levels in your home or work place.

If your house is too damp and the humidity level is too high, not only does mould develop but it can encourage dust mites to breed in carpets and mattresses. Conversely, if the humidity level is too low it can cause respiratory discomfort.

Research has found a strong link between household mould and asthma. People with asthma can develop severe forms of the disease and therefore asthma sufferers are often advised to keep their homes mould-free and well ventilated.

The Moisture Alert Hygro-Thermometer can be used to monitor humidity and moisture levels in buildings and housing (bathrooms and kitchens) and anywhere else you are having a dampness problem. You can even hang this onto a wall and use as a permanent damp meter.

This thermometer has a custom LCD display which indicates either humidity (20 to 95% RH) or temperature (0 to +50°C) and incorporates a pre-set audible max/min alarm on both humidity and temperature. The alert will automatically sound if the humidity exceeds 70% RH or drops to 25% RH or below. Alternatively, if the temperature exceeds +40°C or falls below +1°C the alert will sound.

Includes a useful foldaway stand and a keyhole slot for hanging on a wall.
