The Legionnaires Temperature Monitoring Kit can be used to conduct risk assessments, operational plans and ongoing maintenance, in line with the Legionella Risk Assessment. This applies to all businesses that use drinking water systems, from dental and doctor’s surgeries to hospitals and nursing homes to highlight a few.
A routine surveillance of drinking water to detect for Legionella is vital as a preventative measure to ensure safe conduct in the long term. By utilising the thermometer and selection of 3 probes, the kit can be used to monitor the temperature of both standing water and the surface pipes and tanks that form part of the water system.
Under optimum conditions, Legionella bacteria thrive at temperatures between 20°c and 45°c, although can survive at a dormant state at lower temperatures. Hot water systems should be maintained over 60°c. The Therma 1 Thermometer included in the kit operates through the range of -49.9 to +1370°C with a 0.1°C or 1°C resolution (switchable).
The Legionnaires’ Kit Contains:
• Therma 1 Thermometer
• Penetration probe (K Type)
• Precision ribbon surface probe (K Type)
• PTFE exposed junction wire (K Type)
• A single tub of 70 mini probe wipes
• Carrying case with instruction manual
• Waterproof countdown timer
• Manufacturers’ Certificate of Calibration
• 3 x AAA batteries
You can make a saving of over £40.00 when purchasing a kit, compared to purchasing the products individually.
