Not only is the combo a digital non contact infrared thermometer but it also has a foldaway food penetration probe, making it a great value 2 in 1 thermometer!
Combined in one compact, pocket-sized unit you can either take surface temperature of an item using the infrared laser or you can take the core temperature of a product using the pointed stainless steel penetration probe.
When using the Combo as an infrared thermometer, the distance to target ratio 3:1 so you should position the thermometer as close as possible without the need to touch the surface being measured. When you are not using the probe element of the thermometer it can easily be folded into the side of the unit.
The Combo Infrared Probe Thermometer incorporates maximum, minimum and lock (continuous) functions and is switchable between °C and °F. It is supplied with a default emissivity of 0.95 however it can be changed from 0.01 to 1.
